Oversized round swivel chair can be useful if you want to switch from one desk to another or if you sit down and get up often. But if turning becomes a problem, adjust the chair to prevent it from turning. Keeping a swivel chair from turning turns requires some basic tools.
Inspect the base of the chair. Oversized round swivel chair work differently depending on the model. Look for screws at the base that can be tensioned or a rotatable lid that can be hired to hold the chair in place. Tighten some screws or brackets on the base of the chair or at the bottom of the stand to see if it prevents the chair from turning. This will be enough to stop most of the chairs from turning, but others may not be able to.

Put a small rubber wedge under the oversized round swivel chair, between the bases and turn the pole. Hammer gently in the bottom so that it creates a seal between the base of the chair and the post it is on. Does not hammer too hard or you can damage the chair? The wedge causes friction and will limit the chair’s range of motion. Linda tape around the chair’s pole and wedge, if the wedge will not stay in place by itself. A wedge should be enough to stop turning, but add a second to the opposite side of the post if necessary.
